we keep hoping V will win something soon
Her serve, the body serve was rocking in the 1st. Also, her variety was throwing
off Belinda not giving her rhythm. She also surprised me with some great defense
throughout the match! I wish she could have taken one of those MP's but Belinda
was hitting winners when she needed them down those MP's.
I'm really liking Venus' new coach. When he came down for some on court coaching
I like that besides the technical(move her feet and fight for every point), he reminded
Venus that she is a champion and had more heart than Belinda. I like that because given
her battles with her illness, injury, and erratic form, it's not hard to see how her confidence
especially in high pressure moments has taken a hit. All in all, for me this was a bitter but
promising loss because of how she played and again was in a position to win. If she can stay
healthy I'm hoping this partnership can bare some fruit in 2020.
