So sad to see Collins thrashed 6-1 6-0 by Sabalenka.
Dang! Collins must have had too much sushi last night.. Sabalenka girl who can't keep a ball on court??? trashing my girl like that?
Where is Taylor Townsend to knock Sabalenka out Chicago Style? :) :)
  Taylor is still investing her USO check. On a serious note, is she playing some ITF event somewhere?

She went late to China. I sent her a subliminal message, telling her to get off her a...s and go to China play with the big girls.
So she entered both Wuhan and Beijing Qualifiers. But in Wuhan, she was an alternate; had to wait for about 6 people to drop out to have a chance to get in the Qualies draw. She got impatient and dropped out. Didn't want to wait. I guess she is a Chicago diva too. :) :)

I don't know if she came back home or if she took off for Beijing where she is still in the entry list. She is in the Qualifiers draw there.
You think she is afraid of flying????.... this girl loves to stick around local ITF to play in the middle or corn and peanut farms... :)
Someone has to tell her she can't get better playing fellow scrubs at local ITF all year long.

No she is not. Someone asked her about her lack of play outside the USA and she said financially it was not possible for her to fly all over the world to play qualies. She did mention something like if u lose in qualies in some of these events you get about $900, not enough to cover your ticket.

Yes I saw that video... but I thought she could be hiding her fear of flying too.
Taking at face value what she said in that video, I thought she no longer had an excuse not to go play abroad because she got a pretty big paycheck at the USO.

I think she should have skipped Asia and gone to Europe. Don't they have a few events there after Asia? And that "big" check remember has to be shared and then spread over 12 months. Who knows when her next big one will be. :)

She has a nice check every year at each slam.
She plays the main draws, losing in R1 for a hefty $45,000 each time. Not bad.
Some girls don't get to any slam main draw each year. But they scrap the bottom of their pockets and still do get to tournaments.
I don't buy Taylor's excuses.

You are being too hard on her. This year she has made about 600,000 and half of that is from the USO. Now, for a player who has no endorsements, if you say on average she makes $350,000 annually (I am ignoring USO, it was an outlier, we might not see it any time soon  ), so say her team pockets 40%, that leaves her with say 220,000. (How do taxes work for these guys?, ) anyway before any taxes, she probably rents or pays mortgage, now start subtracting her tickets.. Nothing is left dude.
Why don't you invest in her and make sure she travels? :)

nooo.. There are girls on the tour who make nothing close to that.
How much does Brengle earn a year? How about your beloved Sashia Vickery? Asia Muhammad? Yet they are always entering tournament all around the globe every year. How do they do it?
How do girls like Nicole Gibbs, Kuzmova, Broady, Mandy Minella, ... manage to travel?
Taylor makes enough money to stay in Europe and play tournaments between French Open and Wimbledon ..... to go to Europe after Charleston to play a few events before the French Open.... to play the US Open Series in San Diego... to play Toronto or DC, etc ....

But if she wants the bitcoins you've been sending me, no problem. I can transfer that into her account. I'll help.
