Upsets continue, Monica Puig dismisses Kenin in 2 by 6-4 scores ere another more than decent house on the outer courts. I'm sure the tourney director is thrilled with the attendance thus far.

Puig defeating Kenin shouldn't be an upset.
Puig is an Olympian, no matter her ranking today. :)

Next matches of interest: My girls Siegemund trying to stop pusher-in-chief Wozniaki and Collins facing a name I have never heard of, Bolsova Zadoinov ... I am guessing Bolsova migrated to the West, otherwise, she'd be another ova: Zadoinova

Another upset.....Kanepi dismissed E. Mertens in 3. Ate an (0)melette in the lst, served an (0)melette in the 2nd, came from match point down in the 3rd and sent Elise to the airport, 7-5.

As far as Monica, she mentally remains in Rio, twitter account still has references to such and hasn't done a thing since. Beating the 20 year old Sofia here who has a title this year (Hobart), a final in Acapulco and is rising in the rankings (36th) at age 20 is indeed an upset.

Taylor's game is so ... ITF. She stands 100 feet behind the baseline, leaving the whole court open to her opponent to place the ball anywhere.... and every ball is looped 100 feet above the net. There is no pressure on her opponent at all... . Taylor is basically standing by the wall. How do you get to a drop shot or a net ball? She has no 1st serve, only 2 2nd serves. And stands by the wall to receive 1st and 2nd serve without any intention to pressure the opponent.
FIRE THE COACH !!!!!!!!!!!!!! You will never win a WTA tournament with that game, only ITF events.
