This is not fair. Kuzmova should be destroying Kasatkina and go straight to the final. Playing Julia looks more like a SF pr a Final.

Julia Goerges in R1 for Kuzmova. Too much too early.
Kuzmova needs the cheapers players to get her engine going. When cold, she makes too many dumb errors. Not gonna threaten Julia Gorgeous in R1.

Julia is treating Vik' like she's a scrub, a shock to me, for I've seen her at least competitve while casually having lapses here and there, making sloppy errors in her matches. But in this match it's not close to being competition. She's being completely outclassed. The only thing working for Vik' is her lst serve...

Not watching the match. But told you Kuzmova can spray non-stop. :)
Her big game needs some type of control. Scoreboard shows Julia is in kitchen. Her guest is hungry.

It's not that she makes sloppy errors, that's a given at this point in her career. It's that the rallies weren't remotely competitive as if she didn't belong on the same court with Julia, as if Julia was playing someone ranked 300th. 6-1 6-0 whipping........ Never expected this type of match form Vik'. 23 winners to 10 differential, against a girl with weapons, as Vik'. It's got me to nearly rethinking my girl.... Yet, it's just one match and a clear reality check for this young talent.

At the net Vik' smiled at Julia and they exchanged some words. She gathered her things quickly and departed the court, wanting to get away. Understandable after getting whipped like this.

Wonder if it's too late to play either San Jose or DC next week, since she's been bounced early in her last 2 tourneys.....?

Lottner lost yesterday. IDK.....these girls..... She's a talent, but she casually gifts like Venus and Petra K., errors she shouldn't make, but donates to her opponents by simply not executing makeable balls.

Well....my interest in this event has ended.....'til next week.

Kuzmo has entered enough tournaments since Wimbledon.
Time to take a 2-3-week break.

While, as I predicted, Miss Townsend went straight back home to get ready for WTT, after just R2 at Wimbledon. lol lol lol.. Can't skip that WTT free food. Have not seen many WTA top-100 playing that WTT exhibition. They got better things to do.

Venus, Sloane, and Osaka are playing WTT, surely with "better things to do" :P

[WC] Potapova vs. [LL] Danilovic

Both are 17 years old, and this is the youngest WTA final since 2005.

Danilovic did not think Goerges was too much of a challenge, as she was for Kuzmova. Dismissed her 3 and 3 8)

Her lefty power game has been great to watch, with shades of Kvitova, but using more topspin.
