This girl needs a coach. Can't always lose close match like this. Mental side needs some work.

So Taylor runs home to play $25,000 Sumter, SC.
A Hard Court event in the middle of the Grass season.

Taylor is #1 seed, ranked #71. And the next ranked player is #288, followed by #305. lol lol lol
There is no glory in winning a depleted tournament like this around this time of the year.
her opponents: Astra Sharma, Elbaba, Nefedova, Yurovsky ,... never heard of any of those players.

Weird schedule.

#80 Kuzmova is playing a real WTA event, facing fellow top-100 players and beyond. You are #71. Shouldn't you be playing with the big girls?

 This is sad....to run home and play an ITF "25k" event (hardcourt) in the beginning of the grass season, forsaking the four 100k grass events in Britain leading up to Wimby, including avoiding qualies for Mallorca and Birmingham, plus the internationals in Nottingham and the Netherlands, is just "unbelievable". I had to look this up to see it with my own eyes after you posted......

This is why I once said, during a discussion at TF, that WTA should ban top-80 players from entering ITF events. :) :) :)
Khumkum was #78, then skipping all the WTA events, she went to China to collects points in some useless 25K. WTF?

Taylor just collected $80K in Paris.
She'll show up at Wimbledon and collect $40K (80K with a lucky draw).
Then she'll go play WTT for free food and hotel from B.J. King.
Then she'll show up at the US open and collect another $40K.
The girl just wants to get paid. Forget about running around the world playing meaningless tennis. lol lol lol

You sized Taylor up well, Ace. Don't disagree. Her top-100 ranking is a fraud, for it's from the ITF for the most part.

If the ITF can be used to get you into the Top-80 on the WTA
where then is the issue in using it to remain inside the Top-80?

I would agree that the optics look bad when one thinks a player is wanting
to get better and would do so by playing against the best competition possible,
yet everyone has different motivations and aspirations for their tennis career.

FYI, Taylor is in the qualies of Eastbourne.

Kuzmova is playing the Bucharest 100k next week (beginning Monday) as the #1 seed (not sitting idle, while Wimby remains in play for the 2nd week). Also, playing the event are Yafan Wang (#2 seed), "Greta Arn", Marketa Vondrousova and Ons Jabeur, amongst others.

The following week for Viktoria is the 250k in Gstaad, rather than play the 250k in Bucharest taking place after she played the 100k earlier, while Yafan will stay in Bucharest to play the event. Interesting.....

Didn't know Aiava played last week a 25K in Australia and made the final. That's basically her level.
Score shows she won the first set 6-0, lost the 2nd in a TB, and disappeared after that to lose the 3rd set 6-1.

I can see that happening. lol. Once she lost that TB and was dragged into a 3rd set, instead of regrouping to put up a fight, she most likely got angry and gave up, playing baseball. There were probably some racquet flying
Did you watch the match?
