FO Day 14 10/10/20Iga vs Sofia. Iga wins the lst set, up 4-1 in the 2nd. Can she win this title w/o losing a set since Justine?
Re: FO Day 14 10/10/20Has she won other titles or is she shaping up to be another Ostapenko?
Re: FO Day 14 10/10/20After being double bageled in Rome, Kenin has no business being in the final, eyeing the No. 1 ranking. Re: FO Day 14 10/10/20Yes, she has. Congratulations to Iga on her French Open win, representing her home Nation nicely.
Re: FO Day 14 10/10/20Is she more talented than Radwanska or just luckier, thanks to Covid-19? Re: FO Day 14 10/10/20Iga won a bunch of ITF titles as a youngster and this French is her lst Tour title at age 19. No comparison to Ostapenko, who remains wild and inconsistent. Yet, Jelena still has to time to discipline her game and become proficient. It's up to her..... Re: FO Day 14 10/10/20Iga is indeed more talented than Aggie and has the serve and power Aggie lacked, while having similar games around the net, plus judicious use of the dropper. Both Slams didn't have the full compliment of players, so the events came off as we saw. The USO, tho', was highly competitive with a more than decent semi, while the French did lack and didn't have as many competitive matches. Yet, my favs (Naomi and Iga) won their events, so for me the events are satisfying, tho' I wanted to see Petra K win the French after the draw fell apart amongst the final 4. Re: FO Day 14 10/10/20Serena, the GOAT of female tennis, was in the draw, Grosse, and therefore no need in trying to put an asterisk on this win by Iga. "Never argue with an idiot - they take you down to their level and then beat you on experience" "Don't wrestle with a pig: you both get dirty, but the pig actually likes it"
Re: FO Day 14 10/10/20"in the draw", sadly, has no meaning here. It's tantamount to saying Rafa was in the tournament and played on the same court. |
