Watching my girl Kuzmova Replay. How did Hercog defeat this girl. I love Kuzmova's ground strokes. So flat and so powerful. Beautiful powerful serves to go with hit. And the returns are deadly.
Kuzmova has no problem playing those slices back with interest. She takes the first set 6-4, logically.
She is just the better player. Made a few errors on a few big points. Can't believe she lost this match. There are so many pushers in the draw her game could have totally dismantled.
6-4 6-6 TB.. No break in the 2nd set.

Hercog is too tough an opponent for first round. The serves and the groundies are huge. Then the slices are always around the corner to get her out of trouble. Madison Keys could not stop Hercog eather.

Coco got to be congratulated for knocking this girl out. That was a gutsy performance from a 15-year old. Darling Halep got to be very careful.

Lost the tiebreak by 1 single mistake. Should have hit the open court.
How did Kuzmo lose this match. Up 4-1 in the 3rd set???
Playing so well. Probably the best tennis I have ever seen her play. So clutch. but Hercog hitting some crucial lobs at times. Amazing match.
Very tough loss. The game at 4-4 went 8 deuces; Hercog saving game points with amazing gets and breaks for 5-4. Will serve for the match. But Kuzmova breaks back. 5-5. What a match!!! Best match of this tournament so far.
Hate this draw.
