Tsonga (FRA) *Note: Again, not listing doubles matches. https://www.wimbledon.com/en_GB/scores/ ... index.html Obviously, the match of the day is Rafa v Nick.... Would love to see Petra K v Kristina, but that's a 6 a.m. match here in the States. Yet, if I'm awake...... Another match of interest for me is Sloane v Yafan Wang. However, this is a 4 a.m. start. Replay on ESPN+ is the option.... Re: Wimby Day 4 OOP, 7/4/19K. Mladenovic (FRA) v P. Kvitova (CZE) 6 S. Williams (USA) 11 v K. Juvan (SLO) L. Siegemund (GER) v B. Strycova (CZE) No much going on on the ladies side. I just have questions: Is Petra healed. Which Serena gonna show up? Siegmund, can she finally get back to her level before that ugly injury? Re: Wimby Day 4 OOP, 7/4/19Taylor wins the lst set from Kiki and starts off the 2nd with a break. Upset here? Playing nicely thus far, serving and volleying, constructing points and finishing at the net. Re: Wimby Day 4 OOP, 7/4/19Davis-Kerber.. Lauren making the winners and UE's in the first set, *2-3, but then a nasty fall from Davis and clearly in pain (think that it is her heavyly taped knee/leg that is the problem), and Kerber takes advantage by breaking.... in the blink of an eye from 2-3 to 2-5... Kerber looks on track for an easy win "Never argue with an idiot - they take you down to their level and then beat you on experience" "Don't wrestle with a pig: you both get dirty, but the pig actually likes it" Re: Wimby Day 4 OOP, 7/4/19Kerber breaks on love and wins the first set 6-2... that was a ugly ending... MTO for Lauren: her ankle getting taped. Virtually nothing on her left leg remains visible. "Never argue with an idiot - they take you down to their level and then beat you on experience" "Don't wrestle with a pig: you both get dirty, but the pig actually likes it" Re: Wimby Day 4 OOP, 7/4/19Kiki recovering nicely, was up 5-3 on serve, but Taylor breaks. Can she tie? Nice match, very competitive... Re: Wimby Day 4 OOP, 7/4/19Yes, she can. Recovering down 0-30, going to deuce and winning the last 2 points. Re: Wimby Day 4 OOP, 7/4/19Breaker. Taylor blew the heck out of match point. Nailed and out-wide serve, taking Kiki massively off the court. All she had to do was hit a simple volley to her left "inside the service line" for match point, but "elected" to hit a drop shot which went into the net. Unbelievable nonsense.... Re: Wimby Day 4 OOP, 7/4/193rd set. Taylor should be taken to the woodshed for messing up match point. No excuse for the miscue, for Kiki was completely out of the play.... |
