HISTORY: Gauff, 15, Wimbledon-BoundSee, they're talking about Barty and any other person besides Sharapova!! Makes me sick!! Re: HISTORY: Gauff, 15, Wimbledon-BoundLOL... What is left to talk about Pova except 'Big Domination' from Twitwit?
Re: HISTORY: Gauff, 15, Wimbledon-BoundVee should play mixed with Andy Murray and doubles with Dart. Re: HISTORY: Gauff, 15, Wimbledon-BoundVee was seen at the airport yesterday I'm really disgusted at ESPN's coverage of Venus' loss. They aren't hyping Coco, they're bashing Vee. But, there's hardly any coverage of Maria's meltdown. The only thing they mentioned was wrong and misleading: Maria had to retire at "5-0", and the only clip they showed of her match was the shaking of hands. We know Pova retired at 0-5 down!! Then, they moved on to Venus' loss again for several minutes saying "it's the biggest upset so far"!! WTH?? Venus isn't the #2 player!! Same thing this morning ~ No mention of Pova at all, then back to bashing Vee as the biggest upset!! Good luck to Coco, but I'm sick of this sh*t!! Re: HISTORY: Gauff, 15, Wimbledon-BoundI'm upset because they're protecting her, like her loss never happened at all. Very Trumpian, but this phenomena started way before Trump!!
Re: HISTORY: Gauff, 15, Wimbledon-BoundIf Maria wins, she wins, if she loses, she still wins. She can do no wrong. Blondesse oblige. It's real. Re: HISTORY: Gauff, 15, Wimbledon-BoundZidansek beat Bouchard and no one is talking about the Canadian. Venus, even when losing, is worth talking about. It's a sign of how much she's impacted tennis. How many slams do those who are 'bashing' her have? Let it go.
Re: HISTORY: Gauff, 15, Wimbledon-BoundVenus' loss was still headline news in neon in Times Square in NY as late as yesterday evening. Re: HISTORY: Gauff, 15, Wimbledon-BoundBecause she is a legend. That's like Michael Jordan and the Bulls losing badly in 2019 and M.J. can barely hit a jump shot. Re: HISTORY: Gauff, 15, Wimbledon-BoundI think she still has to develop court sense. She doesn't hit the open court well... She doesn't know what to do when she has to hit a passing shot. That's something I would emphasize if I were coaching her. But she'll get there. She used to not have 2nd serve. Which was making her a DF little queen. Looks like she's solved that problem. I am surprised by the low number of DF she is hitting in this tournament. Great Job on that !!! One flaw at a time. At 15, time is on her side. Let's see how she handles her next opponent's junk balls. She did handle well the slices thrown at her in her previous matches. So she may not have issues with them against Rybarikova. Interesting match-up. I will watch tonight. And you got it wrong. She is a July-4th-fireworks players going with crazy big shots at times. She's definitely not the Putintseva, Sofi Kenin, Gavrilova kind of bouncing-all-over-the-place girl. She keeps it all in, a la Osaka... game face on... We know where these 2 got that from. |
