Russian star Daria Kasatkina is one of the latest to have her say on Djokovic’s Australian deportation and admitted she believed it would have been “unpleasant” for all the other players in Melbourne had he been permitted to compete.

“Because we all made some kind of sacrifice, we accepted the rules of the game in order to play,” she told Eurosport.

“Novak wanted to go his own way. If he was allowed to play with all the set of absurdities that eventually happened, it would not be fair to the players.”

The world number 21 claimed Djokovic is determined to make sure people love him and she compared this attitude to that of his rival Rafael Nadal.

“We all see how he wants people to love him,” Kasatkina said. “How he tries to do everything for this, but it does not work. Because in the end it still feels like something is not right.

“Rafa is real — he doesn’t hit rackets because he just hasn’t done it since childhood. He splashes out emotions in a different way.

“The pretence is visible.”

Well, since you are following the science: what is the correct definition of "vaccination"?

You obviously think that the 2021-definition of CDC is incorrect, so looking forward to hear your alternative.

(FYI, in my opinion, the previous definitions were not correct as no vaccine offers 100% immunity: the last one I can live with).

Alex De Minaur: Australian tennis player denies false Covid pass claim



Australian tennis player Alex de Minaur has insisted he is fully vaccinated following reports he was being investigated for buying a falsified Covid-19 pass.

AFP reported that Spanish police sources named De Minaur as one of the athletes on a list of alleged buyers.

The 23-year-old played in last month's Australian Open, where vaccination was compulsory.

"I want to make it 100% clear that I received my second shot," he said.

"I have a completely valid, accurate and true vaccination record."

Writing on Twitter, De Minaur added: "I received my first dose of the vaccine in London last summer and the second one at the Hospital La Paz in Madrid.

"News came out today that the hospital is under investigation for providing falsified Covid certificates to some of its patients.

"I am not 'under investigation' in any way as is being suggested and my name is connected to this story simply because I was a patient at the hospital [as many thousands of others were]."

De Minaur was knocked out in the fourth round of the Australian Open.
