Madison needs confidence and certainty in who she is. Her game crumbles as the goal post nears. If this had been a match in the earlier rounds, she would've won.

Serena showed how a great tactician she can be. She neutralized Sevastova by spending the evening at the net, watching that 'thing' like a hawk.

Sevastova's slices and drop shots were on the radar. She tried to rally with those nice slices but Serena was knocking them out before the could hatch. She made Sevastova's beautiful game look like ITF starter. Sevastova was stunned, handcuffed. She had no plan B.

And the overhead were so beautiful... just smooth and perfect.

What tactic is Serena going to use against Naomi who plays basically from behind the baseline and doesn't miss anymore, making her very dangerous with her well placed serves?
Is it going to be a baseline battle like "anything you can do, I can do better?", or is Serena going to volley at the net all night?
Or does Serena have something else under her sleeves?

Would love Naomi to win her first slam, but not at the expense of the Compton Queen, Princess of Wakanda :).
Why couldn't Naomi make the Final last year when Serena was away? :( :(

Let's get #24 !!!! Naomi is getting better. She is young and got all the time in the world to win many slams.

ah I have been saying this in the LIVE Chat. This dress Serena is wearing was designed for her little girl, not for a grown woman

What I find so interesting is the fact that Serena is playing in the US Open final 19 years after she first won it. Her opponent was not even 2 year old at the time... that to me is very interesting alone.

When the pressure is on, Keys' game is a UFE mess. She needs a sports Psychologist!!

So happy for Naomi tho. She'll give Serena a serious fight, but, "she loves her" LOL!!

LOL, Ace :-P

I have three finalists (Joker, DelPo and Serena). Bad on me for my order of players or I could've been a contender!!

Arthur Ashe is so quiet for this Joker match. I guess they're shell shocked about Rafa's loss (lol)!!

Go Joker :-)
