No, he was gracious from what I read. In any event, to be honest, I don't like graciousness in bitter defeat, though Momo's lack of grace towards Serena in 2004 was OTT. She almost snapped off her hand at net.

Who is this 'mind guru' Juan Coto who helped Konta 'free herself from some of the on-court anxiety that had held her back?'

No mentioned that this was an upset. Strange.

I wouldn't necessarily call Venus the biggest waste of talent, but I would say that she's underachieved in her career. A lot of this can be attributed to her stubbornness to fix certain parts of her game and also in deferring to Serena too many times in their head to head meetings. I think Venus could've been every bit as good as Serena had she developed certain areas of her game more (serve and net play).

With that said it's nice to see her playing some fine tennis this tournament. She had a favorable draw and was able to seize her chance by making it to the final. She's been sharp and will need to stay that way for one more match and she will make history. It would be something special to see Vee snag a sixth Wimbledon title at her age. I now have a reason to watch the ladies final :D

#ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl#Really though? I feel Venus rarely gets her due. People pile on when she's down#ed_op#br#ed_cl#and then try and piss all over her parade when she's up. I'm just enjoying this.#ed_op#br#ed_cl#No time for other people's hang ups and drama in regards to Venus. #ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#/span#ed_cl#
