Hey Ace,

Serena ruined my tennis day!! If she wants to win #24, she can't do it part time!! Ugh!!

And, Tennis Channel is showing the repeats now!!
Cancelled tennis channel half a century ago. Hated it. They would show old ATP matches when tournaments were going on LIVE. I packed and left.
If this were Aussie Open, I'd be watching all the replays right now. Serena lost because I was not watching. lol lol lol

Physically, she looks good. She is her mom's type so she'll never fit in Venus' clothes. She's got to shed the rust and she'll be alright. Have not seen the match stats, but from the scoreboard, Serena had so many opportunity to break. I don't know if Kenin was serving like the old Serena or Serena's couldn't read her serve. It seemed like Serena was cursed with the break points.

Next Wimbledon.
She's still my uWP. Kenin and Brengle can win one here and there and that's fine with me. That''s the way it works sometimes in tennis. It's life. You win big ones, you lose big ones.

Let's go try again on the green grass. #24 is what we are looking for.
Baby Olympia came one year too early and stopped the momentum, otherwise, #24 would already be here. But baby is bigger than any slam, so it's all good.
Go, Compton Princess !!!!!!!!!!

"[If someone had told me I'd come this far] I would have thought they were lying, because I wouldn't expect to have gotten only to the third round," she said.
no no no no. As the French say, non non non non.
You have always said you don't go to tournament if you don't think you can win it.
So stop the PR B.S already.
"I'm definitely feeling short on matches and just getting in the swing of things," she added. "I don't really like playing out points when I practise.

"I have some time on my hands, so maybe I'll jump in and get a wildcard on one of these grass-court events and see what happens."
Alright !!
Let's get ready for Wimbledon!!!

Zverev gives me precious Skan points: I am the only one who selected him, so I catch up a lot.

Zverev and Barty are my wild-cards that need to go all the way for me. Next for Zverev is Djokovic. That will be tough....

The last team with full intact squad finally just dropped a player. Halepetard was 'killing' the competition.
No more team with 6 players. The battle goes on. Khachanov was a BIG pick for me.
For once my blind ATP selection was good. :) :)
Go get them, dude. I never heard of this dude until I saw him play in Rome while waiting for Venus' match.
Wawrinka and him are the only players outside the ATP top-10 still in the draw. Proud of my ATP crew. :) :)

As for WTA, shame on me for not selecting my Romanian diamond Simona Halep. In Paris, she always goes deep in the draw. I should have known that. I always hesitates because she is not the typical Ace2Ace type of player, with big serves, big returns and devastating groundies.

Only a dozen team Managers have 3 players left. I am one of them.
If Khashanov wins (tall order), of a sudden I'll get out of District RU90. :) :)

Sorry, my boy Thiem knocked out your boy Khachanov.

This propels me to #18 in the ranking (and this morning I was still in RU-district; thank you Barty and Thiem).

I now need a miracle: Zverev is two sets down vs Djokovic; I do not have Djokovic, but I am the only one with Zverev.
If Alex can perform a huge come-back, I may be in the top10, and probably the only one with 3 team members.
Today is/was the day of truth for my high-risk team.... Zverev will decide whether I still can win this Skan...

We knew ATP SF would involved the top-3 Nadal, Djokovic and Federer. They have no competition.

We knew they would be joined by one lucky guy. It turned out he is not a lucky dude, he is the #4.
So there. Semi Final involves the top-4. They are the best. Everyone outside the top-10 is really a spectator, unlike the WTA where we have a top-50 tour. :) :) any of the top-50 can show up and win a slam any time.

ATP is really a top-3 tour, + one dude.
All Skan teams had to have 2 of those top-3, because of the "Ranking total" rule. If you didn't select 2 of the 3, you shot yourself in the foot. :)

Ace: Thiem played the final here last year. NOT Djokovic, NOT Federer. If you think that he is a lucky guy on clay, then you are mistaken :-)

For me, Tsitsipas disappointed: he should have beaten Wawrinka but lost in 5 sets instead. And as a result, Federer faced a tired opponent in the next round.
Tsitsipas won against Federer at the AO this year, and imo Tsitsipas is better on clay (and Federer better on HC). So imo Federer in the SF was not an option as I expected Tsitsipas in that spot..

And your reasoning that you needed 2 out of 3, does not make sense: #1 and #3 in the Skan ranking only picked Nadal.... AND Thiem + lower-ranked one. And the way I've seen the 4 remaining guys play, A Nadal vs Thiem Final is the most likely. Anyone picking Nadal + Djokovic/Federer, may end up with 1 finalist.
