Kerber had only 7 or 8 ufes the entire match. Let's see if she keeps that up as the pressure mounts in the later rounds.

Who can explain Kerber's extreme crouching that can produce winners?

My theory is with her strong legs she's able to get down to the ball and handle the pace better. Only problem i have with that is Kerber may mess up her knees in the longrun.

I'll watch it later on ESPN... No meldo, No slam.

1 and 3 = over and out.

Yet Shugs has the gall to say she gave Kerbs confidence, like it was hers to give or take.

I'd say that was pitiful, but it's hard to know what pumping PEDS in your system over ten years does to the mind. Shugs prolly needs more time to clean out her valves.
go firmly to the window
and listen with deep emotion,
but not with the whining, the pleas of the coward;
listen-your final pleasure-to the voices,
to the exquisite music of that strange procession

Maria played quite horribly. She couldn't do anything out there. She needs to figure out something quickly or retire.

Trust me, Maria was on more than meldo. She might've gotten spooked and dropped the entire cocktail, but again, she's arrogant enough to tempt fate.

Maria is about to turn 31.... that is older than the retirement age of Graf, Seles, Clijsters, Henin, Capriati, Mauresmo, and Davenport (her first retirement, and did not win anything major after that).

Serena and Venus are the huge exception, NOT the standard. So imo Maria is living on borrowed tennis-time.
