Danielle answered at length a question I've always had about female players: how their cycle/period affects their game. Hers was very painful, leading to surgery last year. She tried to come back too quickly and suffered a tear at the point of the surgical incision. Generally, I've always suspected their cycle caused them to routinely miss certain events or play badly.

A post not about the ladies, but about the girls (juniors).
Last week there was a big article in Belgian media about our future after Goffin/Mertens. And they highlighted 8 youngsters (4 boys and 4 girls) all in the ITF top100. We never had that many, and some are considered to be potential top players/

In all fairness, I never had heard of them (especially as my interest in tennis had dropped during Covid). But see, today one of these girls, 16y old Sofia Costoulas, reached the junior final at the Australian Open :-).
