Pegula vs Brady
C. Bellis vs O. Dodin
(5) Sabalenka vs Bye

(4/WC) Osaka vs Bye
Muchova vs A. Li
Watson vs Pera
(16) Yastremska vs (WC) Venus

(12) Kontaveit vs Kasatkina (LL)
Collins vs J. Teichmann
Bouzkova vs Kalinskaya
(6) Kvitova vs Bye

(8) Konta vs Bye
Siniakova vs K. Flipkens
Linette vs V. Zvonareva
(10) Vondrousova vs L. Siegemund

(13) Sakkari vs Gauff
Putintseva vs Zhang
Van Uytvanck vs A. Rus
(3) Serena vs Bye

(7) Keys vs Bye
Jabeur vs L. Fernandez
Swiatek vs C. McHale
(9) Rybakina vs Alexandrova

(15) Vekic vs Azarenka
(WC) Stephens vs Garcia
(WC) McNally vs Cornet
(2) Kenin vs Bye

Evenly spaced draw. Cori' vs Sakkari is a nice lst rounder, coupled with Venus vs Yastremska and Kim vs J. Brady. If it happens a 2nd rd'er of Swiatek vs Rybakina is must see for me. Naomi vs Muchova is ok. Overall a very good draw with good competition given the circumstances. Hope it comes off w/o an infection, citing the NBA which is coming off nicely thus far.

I totally forgot that Kenin is top10....

When girls are playing the Richard Williams Tennis Academy tennis, I am in paradise. I love when they unleash those winners... :)

TC+ is a screw-up today. Unable to return to Naomi's match with Muchova, which is more than decent. In addition, both players are in great physical shape.

Naomi withdrew from the tourney in solidarity with NBA players, some MLB and NFL ballers in response to the incident in Kenosha, WI.

Re the PGame, gamers who chose Naomi as the winner of her match with Elise should change their selection prior to the lst ball strike of the semis with Vika and Johanna to earn credit for the withdrawal.

Tennis-wise, she was making a good run here and was looking forward to her semis and likely final for me with Vika, who appears to have resurged performing like the pre-birth Vika.

Hmmmm.....waking up to the news this morning. Apparently, for both the WTA and ATP there will be no semis today in NY, paused for a day at least.

Amended:

Further, there is some question about whether Naomi has withdrawn. Her statement indicates that she's merely not playing today in protest. However, it doesn't mean that she has withdrawn from the event for the semis are rescheduled for Friday. Needing clarity here, which should happen today at some point.

So, for PGame purposes I have undid the change noting Naomi's withdrawal. However, if she has truly withdrawn, then the aforementioned scenario stands.

It sure didn’t stop her from playing her match yesterday.
