Yup guys, it's her parents' pressure. She needs a private advocate for her interests, and her interests alone!!!

I don't know if I told ya'll this (I think so in another thread) but I'm a Court Appointed Special Advocate for Foster Children here in NJ (CASA). We answer to the Judge in court appearances regarding their well-being. We oversee DYFS and do wellness checks at their homes, schools, doctor offices, etc. and report it to the Judge. At hearings, we sit at the table, separate and we come loaded, lol. Once, years ago, so I can briefly say now (It's strictly confidential), during a home visit, this six year old didn't have a coat, boots, hat or gloves in the middle of January!! I reported it to the Judge and he ordered a stipend of $200 for DYFS to implement immediately!! The next evening I visited him and he had his new gear 8)

So, when I say Coco needs a private advocate for her interests, that's exactly what I mean ~ DJ don't play!!

Because of that, I'm buddies with most Judges and Law Enforcement in NJ :P Early retirement, lol.

I had my neighbor's kid taken and investigated because she allowed her to jump off furniture like hundreds of times a day. I warned her, but once the kid fell and knocked her head which required a rescue squad!!

REPORTED!!

Another Semi Final at Les Petits As.
Never heard of the young one playing today. Just caught it LIVE, randomly. They are warming up.

Ace and Dj'......."hold on".....I'm not "concluding" that parental pressure caused Cori' to reconsider her career choice at the ages of 13 and 14, per the article. What I indicated, if "this", then "that". The "if", is not confirmed, for I'm not buying it....

Rex, I am just going by what Cori said. She was depressed in 2017-18. She felt pressure to perform. And as you said, at that time, if there was pressure, it could only come from her parents and friends since she was not a public figure... which I consider a fair assumption.

Last year
In the U14 competition, Ngounoue took down Kayla Cross of Canada in straight sets, winning 6-2, 7-6(2). As a newly added bonus this year, Ngounoue’s victory also will also earn her direct entry into the Les Petits As tournament in Tarbes, France.

“It’s super special to win, I feel amazing,” Ngounoue told wtatennis.com after the match. “Playing on the stadium court the four of us, it’s such a great experience for us. It’s really nice for the WTA to have hosted this tournament.”
Ngounoue, a Washington D.C. native, currently trains at the Mouratoglou Academy in France and said that reaching the Top 10 ranking in ITF Juniors is her next big goal. The 13-year-old’s highlight of the week - apart from winning the trophy - was a surprise meet and greet with Bianca Andreescu.
“It was amazing!” Ngounoue grinned. “It was a surprise, too, she just walks in! I was so surprised too, I had the best reaction probably. I really like Bianca, I like her game and I like her personality off the court. It was awesome.”
