At the end of the year, she tends to be one of the top 10 with most R1 losses...#ed_op#/div#ed_cl##ed_op#div#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#/div#ed_cl##ed_op#div#ed_cl#And I was considering her, but Woz is equally bad at the moment, and was thinking that Belinda had a shot at that one (and Woz being top4 gives more fmKO points)#ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#/div#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl#

Svitolina out too.... an again no one picked her as fmKO....

Bejing is following the Wuhan-path with top seeds crashing out in the early rounds it seems...

I feel like the tennis season for both main tours should end in late September/early October with the last two events being US Open & YEC. Only because it seems everything post-USO and pre-YEC is a throw away. Also, a longer off season would be great. JMO.

Collins started with a break vs Osaka, leading *1-0, but then Naomi became a Shinkansen and took six games in a row... first set in the pocket. #ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#/div#ed_cl##ed_op#div#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#/div#ed_cl##ed_op#div#ed_cl#Edit: make that 7 in a row... a break on love right at the start of set 2... this could be over rapidly... #ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#/div#ed_cl#

Ostapenko has left the top16-building, but she won't be hungry on her travel: Wang gave her two bagels... #whathappenswhenyouwinaslamtoosoon

Simona suffered slipped disc. Likely gone for a long while. Will be tough hanging on to the No.1 spot. Naomi next at No. 1?

Almost missed the PGame R16 deadline in Bejing... phew... well, still two hours before the first match.

No risks: added all scores up to the final

Based on the scoreline, I thought that Sabelenka was reaching a (temporary) wall; but she overcame Garcia!

She was 3-5 down in the first, broke back to 5-5, but lost 5-7.

In the second, she was down 3-5 again, but took it to a TB... and after winning that, she won with a bagel.

Impressive stuff. She plays on a cloud, it seems.

#ed_op#i#ed_cl#Hopefully one day "soon" Sabalenka as well as Ostapenko will evolve and mature to the point they will for the most part not dismiss themselves by recklessly donating points to their opponents with bushel baskets overflowing with self-created errors... Sabalenka lost this match on her own racquet with 45 gifts to only 12 for Q and nailed 32 winners to only 14 for Q. Classic case of self-whipping when the opponent only has to keep her game between the lines and wait for her opponent who's dictating to self-destruct by returning poorly, repeatedly flubbing executable balls that should have been winners....

Didn't watch the match.
But I have started liking Q.Wang a couple weeks back.. Very efficient, smart player. Uses the court very well.
