just turned it on. 4-5 Alexandrova serving to stay in the match.#ed_op#br#ed_cl#Kuz hits a return winner 0-15#ed_op#br#ed_cl#Then Alexandrova hits 3 DF in a row to lose the match. Was she paid to lose?

#ed_op#i#ed_cl#I don't know, Ace, but Viktoria will take the gift, sending her into the top-100 (the 98th spot, replacing Brengle, who she dismissed in this event). If she wins the final, she'll vault to 83rd just ahead of Chris McHale. Hopefully, she'll do well in qualies at the French, so she'll be maindraw at Wimby. Sad ending tho' to a tight, competitive match.

I missed this match. Completely forgot to check the schedule last night.#ed_op#br#ed_cl#So the only shot I was was Kuzmova's return winner in that last game. :) :) She was sad I was not watching. So the minute I turned it on, she hit that deadly backhand cross-court to say "see, Ace?" LOL#ed_op#br#ed_cl#

Good news, Ace. According to Spiceboy on the TF, Bellis withdrew and Kuzmova is now in the maindraw for Roland Garros. With a good draw she can now pick up some major points and keep herself off the ITF circuit.

Wow... that's nice. I hope she doesn't draw former French Open winners and Semi Finalists in R1.
True. There are bunch of girls she can put away for some big points in the first 2 rounds.

Congratulations to Vicky K. on winning this 100k in 3 and now being ranked in the upper 80's, tho' that will change for some of the players in that section are playing Strasbourg or Nurnberger. Good match between her and Cepe Royg, who is herself a nice player. Next for both is Paris......

#ed_op#div#ed_cl##ed_op#i#ed_cl#There is a 100k grass event in Surbiton, Great Britain beginning June 4th. A few stateside players are in the maindraw (Riske, Dolehide, Falconi) and qualies is featuring Duval and Asia Muhammad amongst others. Also playing is Destanee and Jamie Fourlis from Aussie land....#ed_op#/i#ed_cl##ed_op#/div#ed_cl##ed_op#div#ed_cl##ed_op#i#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#/i#ed_cl##ed_op#/div#ed_cl##ed_op#div#ed_cl##ed_op#i#ed_cl#Wondering why Buzarnescu at 33rd in the rankings is playing this event. #ed_op#img src="/board/richedit/smileys/Thinking/3.gif"#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#/i#ed_cl##ed_op#/div#ed_cl##ed_op#div#ed_cl##ed_op#i#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#/i#ed_cl##ed_op#/div#ed_cl##ed_op#div#ed_cl##ed_op#i#ed_cl#Lastly, it appears France has dumped all of its 100k clay events that were scheduled during the 2nd week of the French and thereafter with Great Britain picking up the slack, for they have 100k grass events scheduled for the next 3 weeks leading up to Wimby, beginning on July 2nd...... makes sense. #ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#/i#ed_cl##ed_op#/div#ed_cl##ed_op#i#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#/i#ed_cl#

I love the idea of not having clay tournament right after the French Open.
Excellent. Give the girls a chance to play more tournaments on grass.
