Well done, great message. She's so well spoken and well read. I always enjoy listening to her speak. Wish the results were there for her, but she's still competing and enjoying it so good for her....and us.

Thanks so so much for posting this!

Given how close to the vest Venus plays things it is so amazing to get to hear her thoughts and mindset behind the scenes. It also I feel gives fans a chance to see how deep Venus is and how she feels, despite being so usually
outwardly calm cool and collected on the court. Thanks again! Looking forward to the next episode!

When she evokes losing in R1 her first time at Wimbledon, and again this year, I thought she was going to say this is her last year on the tour....

Venus Williams commits to play San Jose again

Jul 17, 2019

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Venus Williams has committed to play in San Jose later this month, her second straight appearance in the event.

She will play her opening match of the Mubadala Silicon Valley Classic in the night session July 30 after reaching the 2018 quarterfinals. The seven-time Grand Slam champion is in the field for the 15th time, though the tournament moved from Stanford to San Jose last year.

The 39-year-old Williams will be a wild-card entry in the tournament.
