#ed_op#font color="brown"#ed_cl#@ #ed_op#b#ed_cl#Graveller#ed_op#/b#ed_cl#:#ed_op#/font#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl# Nothing new here. Pushers tend to rise fast in the ranking. We saw Wozniacki do the same. Pushing her way to bunch of Premier events and even slam finals.... becoming #1 in the process. Kerber pushed her way into the top-10 like a meteor. Wozniacki and Radwanska have been top-10 like for ever, with that game.#ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl#The thing is, there is always a power player around the corner to stop them cold during slams. Hard to push your way through 7 matches in a row. Didn't she tell her coach she was exhausted? Of course, with that style of play, asking to win 7 matches is a bit too much. The deeper she goes in the tournament, she more tired she gets. That's why in general (yes there is always that exception), pushers don't win slams. Yeah, we saw Kerber miraculously win 2 slam. It's still a mystery how she got away with that pushing and those cheap serves... Shouldn't happen; but tennis has its own mystery that mystery doesn't understand. :)#ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl#Wozniacki and Svitolina were playing cat and mouse: who is gonna get the other off the court to finally hit a winner? or who is going to miss first. Bunch of rallies went 12, 15, 20 shots...not a slam winning style in my opinion. (posted the match video for those who missed it).#ed_op#br#ed_cl#

my kind of tennis. No 20-shot rallies#ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/J_qggtf-OSU?ecver=2" style="position:absolute;width:100%;height:100%;left:0" allowfullscreen="" width="640" height="360" frameborder="0"#ed_cl##ed_op#/iframe#ed_cl#

Svitolina won 5 matches in 6 days... 4 of them against top10 players.

If you are fit enough to win 5 matches in 6 days, then she can win 7 matches in 13 days...
And most slam winners do not face 4 top10 players...

Svitolinawill win her slam(s) at some point... 😉

On paper. In any event, she must be declared the favorite now. Anything else is BS. Apparently she's won more premier titles in a single season than any other player.

She claims she was physically drained after the first game but still managed to bagel a former no. 1 player.

She played the power players earlier.. Pliskova missed her by an inch.
At the French Open, by the time she was tired, she had Halep, a player whose style is close to hers. In fact she was beating Halep badly until she choked
In the slam, it's the other way around. :) Pliskova, Kvitova, Muguruza would have beaten her yesterday in that final.
That's been Wozniacki and Radwanska's problem. The last power player they face is their toughest match-up.

Another 'tired' scenario? She's managed to win 5 titles so far. Sounds like a preemptive excuse for losing. You can't be tired and beat a backboard like Caroline, bageling her even. I recall Juicy being tired after her semi against Cappy at the USO which ended late into the night on Friday. She even needed an IV that night to recover. Nonetheless, she found the resources to demolish a fresh Kim in the final only hours later.
