That went downhill pretty quick...

next year better, Thiem!

Started out well but then Nadal went into lethal mode

Congratulations to Rafael on winning his 12th Roland Garros title and his 18th Slammer in a legendary, remarkable career. Just turned 33 and has 2 Slams less than another legend in Roger, who will be 38 in August. If his knees hold up and he plays as long as Roger, Rafael will likely eclipse him at some point. Nevertheless, the men's game has been blessed with Rafael, Roger and Novak simultaneously having o/s careers, capping off a great era of tennis for the men during this time.

Dominic might have fared a little better had he had a day off -
he played Wed thru Sat.
Nadal would still have likely won but imo it is preferable to start off with an even playing field.

It didn't help him last year.

Rafa had a cupcake draw....

R1: Hanfmann (who? a QF)
R2: Maden (who? a QF, who won againt another QF in R1)
R3: Goffin (dropped out of top 30 for the first time in 5 years, so nowhere near his best)
R4: Londero
QF: Nishikori

Federer - who could not even beat him 10-15 years ago, was his first decent opponent in the SF, and then Nadal got an extra day of rest.

Thiem was fully rested last year. Perhaps she shouldn't have wasted energy falsely accusing Serena of 'bad personality.'

The moment a player leaves the court, I could not care less what they say or do :-) I'm in it for the sport.
Whether a player nice, rude, selfish, Mother Theresa, gay/lesbian, boring,.... as long as it is not directly related to tennis, they can do what they want.
Haha, if it was for being nice; I woudl have been a fan of Clijsters (and not Henin). But a beautiful backhand remains a beautiful backhand, no matter of the personality who hits it.
(I guess gossip papers don't earn a lot from me).
