Foxtenn will debut at WTA Nanchang

Post by Ace2Ace » Jun Fri 08, 2018 10:48 am

WTA approved earlier this year FoxTenn line-calling system for use on hardcourts as an electronic review service provider and has decided to introduce it first at WTA Nanchang next July.

Bye Bye Hawkeye!!
There is a cheaper system coming.
FoxTenn boasts its margin of error better than that of Hawk-Eye. It uses slow-motion video replay, not graphically-recreated approximations of the ball’s trajectory.

Apparently the system was tested out on more than one million tennis balls, with the margin of error “reduced almost to zero.” It also is said to be cheaper than Hawk-eye to install.

Already succesfully tested last year in ATP Metz & Antwerp and this year's ATP Barcelona.

Now the French Open will have no excuses. No pregnant ref running up and down the ladder to check ball marks.

Well, FoxTenn can't compete with Serena's eagle eyes.

No linesmen. Done. Note the camera right on the floor. should be easy to install on any court.
