I hate those rain delays pushing matches to the next day.#ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#div#ed_cl#They erase the fatigue factor. It always goes against the lower ranked player in my opinion. #ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#/div#ed_cl##ed_op#div#ed_cl#This guys' chance to take Nadal to 4-set is now at risk. :(#ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#/div#ed_cl#

Hogenkamp starting to expose the weaknesses in Maria's game....

from *4-3 down in the second to 4-6 without effort... Making Maria play her BH while running is atm as good as a winner for the opponent. just see those last two points in this set....

For Mytiwtiw's sake, I hope that Maria her domination is not limited to one set :-)
(and we all want to see another beatdown by Serena in R4... well, maybe not Mytiwtiw)

Maria completely dominated the first set, winning in just 20 something minutes, and was up 3-1 in the second. All of a sudden this girl starts changing the pace and slicing and dicing and Maria's game just unraveled. She's now down a break in the final set. What a total turnaround.

Update------now down 3-0.

I hope Maria beets the slicer and dicer, just for me, because I'm a committed hater of such players. It's worse for us club players when playing such people on the weekends. You only have so much time and opportunity to play and you spend the entire time chasing drop shots and unwinding slices. You get no rhythm and therefore never get your strokes going.

Well, 4 games in a row for Maria, with a break up...

Some shot selections by Hogenkamp are - to say it mildly - not well-thought (just to avoid the word stupid).

I you are gonna serve to her FH, then at least make it good enough. If not, Maria WILL hit a winner (as she did).

Looks as if Maria will win it... barely... vs a 26y old with a Personal Best Ranking of #94....

This will give us the pleasure of seeing her getting destroyed by a decent clay-courter :-) (or even better: a double bagel by Serena)

Serena vs Pliskova: 3-2, so far on serve, both dominating with their first serve...

I still have no clue how good she is in rallies, but that serve is where it has to be.
Someone special is going to win Wimbledon, me thinks

Missed opportunity for Serena: Pliskova her first serve was gone, and Serena's winner at 30-30 was millimeters out...

5-5
