WHAT KIND OF NONSENSE IS THIS!!!!! Killing my interest in the event from the beginning......smh.... Last edited by rex on Mar Sun 18, 2018 7:37 pm, edited 5 times in total.
Re:Miami Ladies Maindraw...#ed_op#span class="postbody"#ed_cl# I am not surprised. I don't believe in Random draw. Venus didn't draw Serena in the 3rd round at Indian Wells by chance. But I refrain from commenting on those draws anymore. Enough said.#ed_op#span style="font-size: 18px; line-height: normal"#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#/span#ed_cl##ed_op#/span#ed_cl# Last edited by Ace2Ace on Mar Sun 18, 2018 7:26 pm, edited 1 time in total. Re:Miami Ladies Maindraw...@ Ace2Ace: This draw is so disgusting that it's left me seeing red. Not only will this tournament lose either Serena or Naomi after the lst and the winner gets Svitolina, you have Vika playing Bellis in the lst, the winner then gets Keys, while you got crap match-ups like K. Bond' v VanU, Tsurenko v Tomljanovic, Flipkens v Buznarescu and 2 WCs playing each other Liu v Osuigwe in the lst.....c'mon. By the 3rd round interest in this event could be dead with significant players of interest having been dismissed. Like a poster on the TF said, this draw needs to be blown up and redone.......... Looking at this draw from another standpoint, the competition is steep from the beginning, just like Indy. Still think the Slams offer the best competition, Ace? You don't get matchups like this in the early rounds of the Slams. Re:Miami Ladies Maindraw...These draws are fixed. We have never seen this happen with Sharapova. I didn't see her drawing Azarenka in the first rd of Indian Wells or Kerber drawing Bellis. Why is it that Serena has not had a protected ranking, wasn't she #1 when she went on maternity leave? This is why I prefer Men's Tennis. A damn shame. THe mantra is: don't let the black girls get too good.... Re:Miami Ladies Maindraw...Azarenka has Bellis in R1 and Keys in R2 Kasatkina has (likely) Bencic in her first match. If this draw is fixed, then they managed to fix it badly for a lot of players. We had Bencic vs Ostapenko at IW, and now Bencic vs Kasatkina. But no, I do not buy the fixed draw theory: why would they do it? What do they gain by getting rid of so many spotlight-players in R1 and R2? Last edited by Graveller on Mar Mon 19, 2018 2:06 am, edited 1 time in total. "Never argue with an idiot - they take you down to their level and then beat you on experience" "Don't wrestle with a pig: you both get dirty, but the pig actually likes it" Re:Miami Ladies Maindraw...@ BJM123: It never happens to Sharapova???? At indian wells, it was R1 Osaka vs Sharapova At Miami, it is R1 Osaka vs Serena If you are gonna complain about Serena her draw here, then a comparison with Sharapova is the worst possible example to give as both got the same opponent And Osaka will be mentally drained. She is a walking bye... seen it so often with youngsters after winning their first big title. As for protected ranking: It is indeed protected RANKING, not protected SEEDING. You are allowed in the main draw based on your protected ranking, but seeds have always been based on real ranking. Last edited by Graveller on Mar Mon 19, 2018 2:14 am, edited 1 time in total.
