EUGENIE Wins Lawsuit Against USTA

oday, a Brooklyn Federal Court ruled that the USTA was 75% liable in Eugenie Bouchard’s locker room slip incident during the 2015 US Open.

Bouchard suffered a concussion after falling in the locker room. She then sued the USTA, which runs the US Open, for leaving a cleaning agent on the training room floor which led to her fall.

Bouchard, a former Top 10 player, has struggled since the incident.

Today, the jury found Bouchard to be 25% at fault while the USTA at 75%. Tomorrow, in court she will learn what the damages will be. She was seeking in the seven figure range.
