Did Brady freeze? She had decent results coming into this match.

#ed_op#i#ed_cl#Quite a few young players are affected by their lst time playing on Ashe, the enormity of the stadium has had a daunting effect on some with players like Osaka and Ostapenko commenting to that affect. It makes some freeze, while others adjust as a match plays on. It appears that Jennifer may have been similarly affected. Yet, her post-match interview may shed some light on her emotional/mental state playing on the court, if the  question is even asked. #ed_op#/i#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl#

Karolina Pliskova acknowledges she's under pressure to perform at the US Open, being No. 1 and having reached the final in 2016.

The Czech has gone three sets in both of the previous two rounds.

"I think I'm playing in quite big waves this tournament so far. So I think sometimes I think I play good shots, good rallies, and then there is hundreds of mistakes and not a good shot," she said.

#ed_op#i#ed_cl#Jen' Brady's interview:#ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#a href="http://www.usopen.org/en_US/video/2017- ... cl#Alludes to nerves, somewhat overwhelmed by the experience for her debut on Ashe and treats same as a learning experience, which is what it is. Now that she has the experience, her reaction will be much different next time. #ed_op#/i#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl#

#ed_op#i#ed_cl#Kanepi engaging in self-whipping, blowing sitters inside the service line for no reason.

#ed_op#i#ed_cl#Well......Kai wins by breaking Kasatkina, not when she was on serve (twice). She was in control of this match, but made things hard on herself in the 2nd set by not executing makeable balls inside the service line, missing the court badly. Yet, hung in their and broke Kasatkina twice, while not being able to hold her own serve. She's making an unexpected run here after being off the Tour for injuries and a lack of motivation to continue her career. Found the love again and now here is where she is. Congrats........

Stunned how easily Thiem is beating Del Potro. Never thought anyone could do that.
