Kristie Ahn having hard time moving from 150 to 100. #ed_op#br#ed_cl#A win today would have moved her to #106 ... She served for the match in the 2nd set at 5-4. Been losing since.. Down a break 1-4 0-40 in the 3rd against Cepede. That's what happens when you don't serve out a match. You can't assume a top-100 player will not fight tooth an nail.#ed_op#br#ed_cl#and she DF at 30-40 ... 1-5 ... Over.#ed_op#br#ed_cl# Last edited by Ace2Ace on Aug Tue 01, 2017 6:54 pm, edited 4 times in total. Citing left arm soreness, Maria Sharapova has withdrawn from the Bank of the West Classic in Stanford. The five-time Grand Slam champion made the announcement on Wednesday. “Unfortunately, I have to withdraw from today's match,” Sharapova said in a statement. “Toward the end of Monday night’s match, I felt pain in my left forearm. After yesterday's scan, the doctor has recommended I don't risk further injury. Monday night’s crowd was so special and I wish I could continue playing, but I have to make a preventative decision.” |
