Van Uytvanck into the MD... looking forward to see who she will get... Kerber, Halep, Kuznetsova and Gavrilova are possibilities "Never argue with an idiot - they take you down to their level and then beat you on experience" "Don't wrestle with a pig: you both get dirty, but the pig actually likes it" who is Duan YingYing playing? let me look.. Cause that is big trouble. edit: [21] Caroline Garcia (FRA) v Jana Cepelova (SVK) Duan Ying-Ying (CHN) v Ana Bogdan (ROU) Madison Brengle (USA) v Richel Hogenkamp (NED) Johanna Larsson (SWE) v [11] Petra Kvitova (CZE) Well, sorry girl.. Kvitova is a tough proposal. Duan should be competitive against Garcia and Cepelova. Last edited by Ace2Ace on Jun Fri 30, 2017 9:42 am, edited 1 time in total. Re:Ladies.....Wimby MaindrawThere are a ton of tough lst rders where some would view same as upsets, but are winnable matches for the opponents, iffy outcomes to say the least, as follows: Barty v Svitolina...... I like Ash' in this matchup. Dodin v Safarova...... potential upset, but I don't see Lucie losing such. Alexandrova v Muguruza....Garbine coming off a bad loss at Eastbourne to Strycova. EKate can play and Garbine could lose this match. Aggie v JJ..... physically, Aggie looks terrible (beyond skinny and lost badly to Lauren Davis in Eastbourne. JJ, tho' declining rapidly, could win this matchup, as yet. Puig v Bascinszky....potential upset, tho' Monica gifts herself out of matches while mentally still living the Olympic experience and won't let it go. (see her twitter account). Mona v Coco....Coco hasn't done a thing since the AO and can lose against a maddeningly inconsistent Mona. A toss-up..... Cibby v Petkovic.....Andrea is so basic, but she's got a shot v Cibby. Sabine v Ana K.......Sabine has the power to dismiss the youngster. Yet, one doesn't know how they'll perform on game day. Another toss-up..... Osaka v Tormo.....if Naomi doesn't dismiss this moonballer this will cap off a horrid clay and grass season for her.... Venus v Mertens.....Elise could win, for Venus hasn't played since the French and she's near anorexic. Ostapenko v Sasnovich.....Sasnovich is not a bad player, and if Ostapenko goes on one of her error binges, she could lose this match. Vika v Bellis....Cate played well at Mallorca and Vika is returning underweight, having lost power in her ground game. Yet, I think she has enough to send Bellis to the next event. Putintseva v the seeded Sevastova.....the mercurial Yulia can win this match. Vondrousova v Peng......the youngster can prevail here. Re:Ladies.....Wimby Maindraw#ed_op#i#ed_cl#Qualies have been placed in the OP for the maindraw.....#ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl#My girl, Petra Martic, facing Gavrilova. A tough draw indeed. Will be watching, if the match doesn't conflict with Petra K's match or Naomi's....#ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#/i#ed_cl#
Re:Ladies.....Wimby MaindrawI'm actually legitimately excited for this Wimbledon (compared to any of the other majors), for both men's and womens tournament. It's hard to predict who's going to win; I think the draws are very balanced. There are so many story lines. Can't wait. Re:Ladies.....Wimby Maindraw@ 93tennisroyalty: I know what you mean. And good to see that Kerber and Pliskova are in the same half. If they had played the final, it was possible that Kerber won the final, but still lost the #1 to Pliskova.. "Never argue with an idiot - they take you down to their level and then beat you on experience" "Don't wrestle with a pig: you both get dirty, but the pig actually likes it" Kerber will be out in R1 to Falconi. She is my fmKO. Watched her lose to Konta. Konta was doing everything while Kerber was pushing as usual. 2016 seems like 100 years ago. That game worked for some weird reason. Back to normal now.
