A fire has erupted at Wimbledon's famous tennis courts in London.
London Fire Brigade said up to 20 firefighters were called out after an area of shrubbery caught alight at the All England Tennis Club at 12:33 BST.

It comes just weeks before the grand slam tournament is due to take place at the venue in SW19.

The fire, which was close to Gate 1 - near Wimbledon's No. 1 Court - has since been extinguished. The cause of the fire is currently unknown.

This year's Wimbledon could have been dangerous like never. The Pakistan-born London Bridge terrorist Khuram Butt had tried to get a job with the security firm that works for sporting events like Wimbledon, English Premier League football clubs.

They were to meet Butt at the end of June, but of course now it luckily won't happen. Butt had chosen to work in a sports environment probably to make the terrorist attacks easier, according to the Telegraph. 'The security firm would check his background but it does not have access to the police watch list or have knowledge of any MI5 investigation,' Telegraph said.

'There would have been no reason for him not to get the job. Butt could not only have caused serious damage but potentially helped other terrorists to get into one of these events. One possibility is Butt had considered targeting the tennis tournament but decided to speed up the plot, following the Manchester Arena bombing ,and switched the attack to London Bridge,' the paper said.

It wouldn't have been the first time that Butt would have worked in the security staff: Last year for six months until October he had been on the London Underground, as the security firm didn't know that he was under investigation, and weren't aware of the undergoing investigation against him.

And thanks to your liberal gun laws in the States, a senator got shot today, and another shooting is ongoing in SF at a US depot...

Your point is??? Should we avoid the US Open?
