@ Ace2Ace:
Yes, or close; depending on how others ranked ahead of her are doing this week.

Take a good look, SHARAPOVA!!! This is how you should have worked you way back into the top100 (and Bencic was injured - no doping ban but also not using WCs all the time).

All I was is Bencic to get qualified for the AO main draw without having to play qualies....

Even if Bencic ends up playing Qualifying, I think she will make the Main Draw. Her tennis is not ITF level.

Mission accomplished for Belinda: beaten Rus 7-6 6-1, and now ranked #98!!

There is a rush to get in the top-100 by January 1st. Smile
A couple of girls are playing this week (Hercog and Kurumi), swearing to catch Belinda. lol lol

Kurumi is 18 points behind Bencic while Hercog is trailing by 9.
I don't know the deadline for the Aussie Open MD, but surely, girls are fighting for that big check.
Taylor is breathing hard at #94. Her MD check is not yet protected.... or is it? when is the deadline?

@ Ace2Ace:

Apparently there was an AO Wild Card challenge by the USTA for a maindraw placement at the 2018 AO. It took place recently and Taylor won such by winning the 80k ITF event in Waco, Texas. Thus, Taylor is guaranteed minimally 50k for just showing up at the event in January.

@ rex:
Oh I see why she was crushing everyone.. lol lol.. She wanted that WC so badly. Smile Smile
Hey, Ms Taylor, the best way to stay in the top-100 is to win 1 match at each of the Grand Slams. No need to suck all year and hunt for WC when the times comes around. Time to get your permanent ticket inside the top-100. You are not getting younger.
Coco made it. Look at her now. Top-10 yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhh..
Where are the folks making fun of me for saying all Coco needs is decent ground strokes to go with her mighty serve?

In New York right now.. Should come here around US Open. My hotel is right near Madison Square Garden. Got to book this place for next year. Smile Could be Serena's last USO.

Bencic winning another ItF in Dubai and now #74....
Compare that to Sharapova ranked #59 after all those WC's...

And Destanee Aiava winning the AO WC play-off...
