Watched the semi, but not the final. Assumed she'd win the final and, after serving her opponent a bagel in the lst, would think it'd be a matter of course to finish for the title. Apparently, not..... However, she looked off-rhythm from what I saw, but reached the final, nevertheless.

She's currently playing a 60k in Aussie land, plays tonight I might add and may give it a look for a spell... Didn't play much this year due to injuries, so competing in her home Nation via the ITF, leading up to the Pacific Tour in January should get her up to speed by then. Still developing at age 18....

#ed_op#i#ed_cl#I see that Taylor retired today in her match v Karatantcheva. Was eating bagels (0-6, 0-3) when she called it a day at the ITF 60k in Templeton, CA. lst time noting that Taylor retired in a match in her career. I guess the stress of being the WTT Female Player of the Year for 2018 was too much to bear at this point of the season......#ed_op#/i#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl#

That's is funny.#ed_op#/div#ed_cl##ed_op#div#ed_cl#We've been talking about her schedule. She's rather play on the ITF tour than WTA. 70% of her points are from ITF.#ed_op#/div#ed_cl##ed_op#div#ed_cl#Most top-100 players are in Asia, playing real tournaments.#ed_op#/div#ed_cl##ed_op#div#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#/div#ed_cl##ed_op#div#ed_cl#I think I get it now. She might have to at least purchase 4 plane seats every time: 2 for her coach and 2 for her. That got to be very expensive.#ed_op#/div#ed_cl##ed_op#div#ed_cl#She needs to drop that useless coach to cut the ticket price down by 25%.#ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#/div#ed_cl#

She is the only top-70 player who avoids WTA events.
I wish there would reserve ITF tournaments to players ranked 90+ only. She'd have to take a part-time job at Kroger to kill time.

Apparently, her agenda is to play the ITF circuit, earn enough ranking points to keep her ranking up in the 60'-80's range, enabling her to qualify for the Slams main draw, get paid for a round or 2, while avoiding Tour events, befitting her ranking. Her aspirations and competitiveness is deeply in question and for her coach, DY's dad, to go along with this doesn't say a lot for him either......

Looks like someone shamed Taylor into Withdrawing. :) :)
she is not in the Main Draw.
In the Entry list, she is #61 and the next player, Brengle, is #101 . lol lol lol
At least she had the decency to withdraw if that's what happened.

Last significant ITF tourney for the year, the Dubai 100k, featuring Mladenovic, Kuzmova and Mona, amongst others.....

Viktoria and Mona have a match tonight (12 midnight) playing different opponents. If awake, will give either a look-see...
