Fed Cup....

Post by rex » Apr Sat 21, 2018 9:39 am

Don't care a lick about Fed Cup, nor who wins it. What I'm into is certain match-ups that I want to see between 2 players. Just happened to note the match between Sabalenka and Kuzmova in the 3rd set at the moment. Love the aggressive game of Sabalenka, but her screams are off-putting. Kuzmova is a gem, girl's got all sorts of game with weapons. Tied at 5-all in the 3rd.....

Nice... Glad my girl Kuzmo beat the screamer ... #ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#div#ed_cl#Mad at kuzmo for still not making the top-100. Every time she has to win just 1 match to get to top-100, she manages to lose. I don't get it. #ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#/div#ed_cl##ed_op#div#ed_cl#Girl should have a permanent residence in the top-100 and beyond.#ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#/div#ed_cl#

Viktoria will be top-100 soon enough, this year w/o question. There is no rush. To repeat, I'm placing her equally with the Class of '97 (Naomi, BB, Ana K., Jello and Kat') and, imo, she has a better game than Naomi and Jello, for she does more with her racquet. Loads of talent and game.

She just dismissed Sasnovich this morning, who is a more than decent player. Caught the breaker and the last 2 games at 4-all. Sasanovich held, then led 30-40 when Viktoria tied at 40 with a forehand winner, then aced her twice to hold at 5-all. The breaker was Viktoria winning it handily at 7-3.

On another note, Naomi was handily dismissed by Konta in 2. Naomi as one-dimensional as ever, just baseline returning with a serve. No creativity.....

I see that Petra K. dominated Angie with 6-2 scores. Going to have to rethink my fmKO pick for Stuttgart, for both are playing each other in the lst.
