IW WTA Main DrawWaking up in the morning to an Osaka-Kasatkina final at Indian Wells. 😀😀😀 Perfect!!! And for me it is Kasatkina all the way. But can live with Osaka as winner too. Both got here by beating the top players, and not because the draw opened up. Last edited by Graveller on Mar Sat 17, 2018 3:14 am, edited 1 time in total. "Never argue with an idiot - they take you down to their level and then beat you on experience" "Don't wrestle with a pig: you both get dirty, but the pig actually likes it" Just realised that the final is on sunday, and not today. That gives Kasatkina enough time to recover from her long 3-setter in the SF... At stake is 1.3 mil. for the winner, 650k for the loser and 1,000 ranking points. Naomi is now in the 8th spot for the YEC at this point, Kasatkina 6th. Petra K. is 5th and it appears she'll be there at the end. Haven't watched the YEC for the last 2 years because it's missing its best players (Petra, Vika and Serena). Now, that Petra is back it will at least hold my interest. If Vika can get back to form, play more events and qualifies, it's all good for the event. Not counting on Serena, for even if she qualified, she would skip it. Doesn't like Asia. They more than deserve to be in final, having taken out many favorites, tough opponents. This was not a case of Draw opening up. Nice to see these 2 battle with the best and come on top. Congratulation !!!!#ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl#The final is a contrast of 2 styles: the Williams Academy style displayed by Osaka, and the Radwanska Academy represented by Kasatkina. #ed_op#br#ed_cl#My choice is obvious: Osaka. All you have to do is look at how she closed that first set. She saw Halep getting back in the game and thought, "wait a minute; not here, not now." And she delivered a stinging ace, like a true graduate from the Ace2Ace Academy #ed_op#br#ed_cl#Kasatkina's "peaceful" game will be under fire from start to finish. Unless Naomi somehow loses her mind and starts dumping balls in the net, she will be unstoppable. Naomi was gifting too many points to Halep in the first set, allowing the Romanian Diamond to hope for something. But Super Coach Sasha Bajin cleaned things up, and the UEs disappeared. Darling Halep could only see dust. It was over before Halep knew it. #ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#b#ed_cl#Prediction: Osaka#ed_op#/b#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#/span#ed_cl# Last edited by Ace2Ace on Mar Sat 17, 2018 6:09 pm, edited 1 time in total.
