a few interesting matches for me. the three that I look forward to the most are:
Wang vs Mertens
Bencic vs Ostapenko
Anisimova vs Pavlyuchenkova

And of course Sharapova vs Radwanska... oh no... wait... Osaka knocked out Sharapova ... Smile Smile

Bencic vs Ostapenko
Found some interesting story about these two.. They were going after each other as juniors. Smile

2011 Les Petits As U14 SF (indoor hard) - Ostapenko 6-1, 6-4
2011 Czech Junior Open R3 (clay) - Bencic 1-6 6-4, 6-2
2012 Canadian Junior Championships R3 (outdoor hard) - Ostapenko 0-6, 7-5, 6-3

This will be their first time meeting as Pro. It's a long story in the making.

@ Ace2Ace:

Haha. Love stuff like this. Funny!

I recall Novak reminiscing about his junior days and first meeting Murray with whom he roomed. He said he was shocked how white he was. He said he'd never seen anyone his shade before. He asked him if the sun didn't shine in the UK. Of course, Andy, like almost every Brit, said, no, almost never. lol

Man......Petra K., Petra M. and Naomi are all playing at the moment......smh. Petra K. is playing horribly (29 ufe errors in losing the lst set) and only leads 6-5 in the 2nd after blowing a 5-3 lead on serve, Puts' on serve.....

Petra K. has "66" ufes at the start of 3rd, down 1-2. Looks like she'll top 80 by the end of such.....

In addition, she has dfed 16 times and the match is over 3 hours, down 2-4 in the 3rd on serve. This from a player that has just returned to the top-10 and on a winning streak.

Petra M. just dismissed Barbara Stry' in 2. Good to see my girls (Naomi, Petra K. and M.) move on to the next rd, as well as Vondrousova, who dismissed Konta today. A successful day for my faves. Unfortunately tho', Gravs' homegirl, Elise Mertens, took the fall to Q. Wang, losing in 3 sets.

Up next......Belinda B. v Jello'......

Epic fight. Vickery downs Muguruza, 2-6 7-5 6-1, confirmation her great form since the end of last year.
what a match that was !!!!
Down 2-6 0-3 and facing 3 break points for 0-4, the girl turns on whatever she got and makes it a match.

No moon ball, Taylor. See what can happen when you strikes the balls? See where Vickery stands on 2nd serve? Sometimes it causes the opponent to DF. Got to put pressure on the 2nd serve. Can't stand 10 miles behind the baseline, leaving the service box open like a National park.
