Peterson this week, like Kuzmova last week, is one win away from her debut in the top-100.
Just do it !!!!!
We are getting young, smooth power players in the mix. I love it !!!!

What happened to Zidansek. She was red hot in the ITF earlier last year. Completely forgot about her.
She should be joining this group too. Let me check her current LIVE ranking.. Hope she is not still struggling at the bottom 200 or more.

Zidansek at #177 .. just moved 28 spots this week.. Smile What was she doing down there outside 200 ITF? Sad Sad
In QF in Curitiba, wonder where that is ... From down the Qualies' jungle... Got to win the whole thing, lady.
Don't do an Aiava, who fell outside 200, now waiting to turn 18 this month, get her own apartment and decide if she wants to play cricket or tennis. Smile Should seek advice from Barty who was able to turn things around. Aussies are tough on their youngters.

Maria Sharapova could have dominate Acapulco with her hands tied over her head on the bed post. Those players not on her level.

@ Mytiwtiw:
I know. All she would have needed is 1 pill of Meldonium to dominate this field. Otherwise, not a chance.

Should've been a cakewalk for the current USO champ, one Sloanie Stephens.

Rebecca Peterson falls. Only 1 break of serve.
4-6 6-7 A few crucial errors at 30-30 in 3 different games would have given her break points. What a close match. Both players were holding serve like true WTA players should.
Top-100 eludes another fighting Qualifier in the SF, just like it eluded Qualifier Kuzmoza at the same stage last week.
These Qualifiers seems a bit tired by the time they get to the SF. Sad
Next 2 tournaments, both these girls should get to the mountain top, at last.

Dang!! she lost that tiebreak. Went for a backhand winner at 5-4 in the TB and missed. Could have given her 2 set points and who knows? I wanted a 3rd set badly. Not sure if Peterson had enough left in her tank for another set though.
Great week! Great tennis! I like what I see. Even the commentator complimented her, saying "we'll see more of this girl". Yup. we will.
