Budapest.....The outcome of this event shows the travesty of WTA and their WC...#ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl#Bencic: former top10, injury and surgery pusher her out of top100, had to fight her way back without WC's... in six months time, got back to #70 but was not allowed to enter Doha or Dubai MD (and could not play Doha qualies due to Fed-Cup).#ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl#Van Uytvanck: similar story: got to top50, then also injuries and surgery... fought her way back without WC's, and now back into the Top50 by winning an International event.#ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl#Sharapova: lost all ranking points due to DOPING, has got 10 (yes, TEN) months of WC after WC, and guess what: still not in the top40....#ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl#Those WC should go to young, promising players who got a setback due to injuries, and not to a serial 10y-long Meldonium taker. She does not deserve it, and she has proven time after time that she is not worth it: her game is gone.#ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl#Bencic now in action in Acapulco. I hope she gets deep. And would't it be nice that both Van Uytvack and Bencic would be ranked ahead of Maria after Miami? Last edited by Graveller on Feb Sun 25, 2018 4:24 pm, edited 1 time in total. "Never argue with an idiot - they take you down to their level and then beat you on experience" "Don't wrestle with a pig: you both get dirty, but the pig actually likes it" Kanepi started over, from scratch. No WC. She already reached the top 60s. Soon, she'll pass the Siberian Sugar queen. Last edited by Ace2Ace on Feb Mon 26, 2018 12:17 pm, edited 3 times in total. |
