yup.. you got it. I can't believe the power players are all on vacation.#ed_op#br#ed_cl#But no worry. There is hope in Budapest. Young Kuzmoza is knocking at the door. She will enter the top-100 if she wins her next match. :)#ed_op#br#ed_cl#From LL to SF, already plenty good enough if she doesn't get to the final. But I have faith. She was superb this morning.#ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl#Can't stand Finals without at least 1 big hitter. :( Kvitova saved the tour last week. But she can't do it alone. Other power players have to step up.#ed_op#br#ed_cl#Your girls are doing great in Dubai. And I am connected to Budapest. There is some nice news coming from there.#ed_op#br#ed_cl#

Looked at her ranking breakdown: Apart from Charleston (that she won), Kasatkina has no points to defend up to Roland Garros. So if she could win here today, she already covers the Charleston-points. It would put her at #17, so if 1 player from the top16 withdraws, she would get an easier R3 in IW and Miami.

She enters the top20 for the first time next week anyway 😀. A slow but steady rise over the last two years. No overrated jump like Stephens or Bouchard because of a deep run in a slam.

A shame that she got bageled in set #2 (score does not reflect many of the great rallies and points), but Svitolina deserved the win here.

A final between two fave's is always a bit weird, but at least you like he winner :-)

Both now can rest for two week before playing R2 of IW.... Hoping to see both having a deep run there too.

did anyone watch this match? I can't even find pictures of her holding the trophy.
If anyone got some, please post them here so we can add one to the front page.

I didn't realized I selected Barthel over Cibulkova... That was a mistake. I saw it after the round was closed. Then I thought, "well, I hope Barthel wins". :(#ed_op#br#ed_cl#Had I not forgotten to update that prediction, I would have won Bucarest with Graveller. We had the same number of points in every round except that SF.#ed_op#br#ed_cl#Uytvanck was superb this week... Is she an indoor queen? Her serve was on all tournament long. She was the only one who could have stopped young Kuzmova .... If Indian Wells was not as slow as French Open, I would give Uytvanck some chances of making the QF at least, with that game. #ed_op#br#ed_cl#Hate all those slow Hard Court surfaces. They are pushers' paradise. Help them tremendously move up the ranking.#ed_op#br#ed_cl#
