So after preparing the WTA monthly overview last week, I now found some time to spend on ATP
Most of what I write here in the first post, is repetition of the WTA thread (and the ATP overview thread of 2017), but some refreshing of the concepts is never a bad thing (especially for newcomers to the PGame)

My planned overviews are:
* End of January
* End of march (post-Miami)
* The Clay-overview (post RG)
* The grass-overview (post-Wimbledon)
* The US-HC overview (post US Open
* The Asian overview (End of season)

This overview will also give the top10 of the rolling ranking. The complete ranking can be found at  another place  on e website, together with the Hall of Fame of each event (presenting all winners of the past for each tournament, going back to 2009. Yes, the ATP game started its 10th year).

What is included in the rolling ranking?

All slams (4)
All ATP1000 events + Masters (10)
Your best 7 ATP500 events of the last 52 weeks (7)
Your best 9 ATP250 of the last 52 weeks (9)

The structure of each PGame is the same: you make predictions for each match in R16, QF, SF and F... Per round you can earn 8 points, but for ATP1000, we double this (16), and for the slams it is doubled again (32pt per round in slams).
This makes it interesting until the very end... a correct winner in R16 of a slam gives you 4 points, a correct winner in the final 32 points! And doing well in a slam will have a bigger impact on your ranking than doing well in an International - just like in real life...

On top of that, there are R32 for the slams and the ATP1000 events. So more points can be won, and we get involved in an earlier stage  Smile

Earning a "default" value for every event: the default score is equal to the lowest score obtained by an active participant in the first round of predictions.
So if you miss a (mandatory) event, you do get some points anyway. In order to get those points, you need to have entered 3 events actively over the last 52 weeks. Once you entered 3 events, you receive the default score for each event of the last 52 wks (retro-active scoring) - from that point onwards, you start to "defend" points (or try to improve your set of best ATP250/ATP500).

Good luck to all in 2018!!!

Graveller got four titles to defend, and Pingpong0 and Rex got two. But the two biggest ones in the coming months (ATP1000's) were won in 2017 by 93tennisroyalty and Wannadoo75.

Wannadoo75 is unstoppable. I think he is the only one to win a tournament 5 times. Is it in the air of is it in the water?? How does he do it?
