Maria mentioning The WIlliams Sisters

In her loss to Kerber, she mentioned that she admires the "fire" of Serena and Venus. I guess 14 years of beatdowns will force respect! LOL

She's just casting suspicion. She's done it in the past on the heels of a major loss. I recall clearly when she lost to Serena in the London Oly finals she made a cryptic remark about Serena's serve, suggesting it was abnormal, "You know what I mean?" she added. She hopes others will run with it.

But this is the reason why so many tennis fans do not like her. She comes across as fake. She's hoping that when Serena gets back to full force that Serena takes it easy on her.

How dare Maria look to Venus & Serena for inspiration!#ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#img src="/board/richedit/smileys/Teasing/14.gif"#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl#It's as if she thinks all they've endured can give her that fire to think she#ed_op#br#ed_cl#can do it as well. The nerve!#ed_op#br#ed_cl#

She's not. Even her agent bragged that she'd on a different planet than the WS in particular.

@Grossefavourite#ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl#Is it really so hard to think she actually may draw some inspiration from them?#ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl#Not everything has to always be bitter or seen with skepticism, maybe?

Yes it is. In her own words she has stated that she thought that she would be better and now she's trying to backtrack given the beatdown that Serena in particular has administered to her regularly. I guess she was once comparable to Venus but then it must've been the drugs

Aus Open Confidential, Day 7: Serena Williams burns Maria Sharapova on Twitter

IT was unlikely that, somewhere back in Florida, Serena Williams was shedding a tear as Maria Sharapova was resoundingly sent packing from the Australian Open.

Hours before the Russian was dumped out in 64 minutes by a resurgent Angelique Kerber, one of Williams’ many fans on Twitter posted lightheartedly that she wanted Sharapova to win this much-anticipated match.

Williams, who has been active on social media lately, went to the trouble of a reply with a simple emoji of a face without a mouth, which told you where her loyalties lay.

This Serena-Maria thing is so boring and old. It exhausts me everytime I hear about it. Can we all just move on with our lives? They'll be 80 years old and people will still be trying to create drama between them.

Sad thing, this would never happen in the ATP.

@93tennisroyalty#ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl#Honestly, I was just thinking the exact same thing. This indeed would never happen in the ATP!#ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl#
