Respect. Caro pulled off a feat only Serena's has (if memory serves) at the AO, and that was back in 2003, which is to comeback from being down 1-5, 15-40 in the 3rd to win the set 7-5. Kudos. She might not have power shots, but she's clearly mentally strong with a desire to win.

Now that my Vee is out (why Vee, why????), I'm rooting for Caro all the way.

At almost 2 am, Mertens defeats Gavrilova in two... entertaining match, but stressful to watch: Mertens was down 0-5 in the first set but then won 7 games in a row (and the set 7-5).

If anything, Tsonga might compare last night against Shapovalov who Sloanie is thirsty for.
