Garcia vs Svitolina#ed_op#br#ed_cl#Just watched the end of the match. #ed_op#br#ed_cl#Svitolina up 5-3, serving for the match:#ed_op#br#ed_cl#Garcia 0-15 Winner#ed_op#br#ed_cl#Garcia 0-30 Winner#ed_op#br#ed_cl#Garcia 0-40 Winner#ed_op#br#ed_cl#Garcia: Winner. #ed_op#br#ed_cl#Game. 4-5#ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl#Garcia serving:#ed_op#br#ed_cl#15-0 Winner#ed_op#br#ed_cl#30-0 Big serve... tough to handle.. Return is long#ed_op#br#ed_cl#30-15 .. finally a winner from Svitolina#ed_op#br#ed_cl#40-15 Winner#ed_op#br#ed_cl#Game. Garcia, unreturned serve.#ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl#if Garcia can play like that, smashing down Svitolina, why is she in a 3rd set facing elimination?#ed_op#br#ed_cl#Did she had to look defeat in the eyes to start playing power-tennis?#ed_op#br#ed_cl#2 games: 6 winners for Garcia, 1 for Svitolina.

A relaxed Ostapenko (she is out anyway) is playing her best in the rallies - winner after winner after winner...

She broke Pliskova multiple times and won the first set 6-3...

And that is three breaks in a row for Ostapenko... #ed_op#br#ed_cl#6-3 2-0... serving to get to 3-0...#ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl#The results of this group feels wrong: Pliskova qualified for SF and Ostapenko eliminated, but it is Ostapenko who dictates.#ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl#Edit: 3-0 in the blink of an eye#ed_op#br#ed_cl#

Interesting to see how Pliskova and Ostapenko are already on the court - ready to play - before the umpire announces that it is 'time'...

Happened a few times today: both girls do not like to sit and wait :-)

Two love games and we are at 4-1....#ed_op#br#ed_cl#Some great serving from both, some great rallies too.#ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl#Together with the second set from Wozniacki vs Svitolina, this match (and especially Ostapenko) is the best of this YEC edition so far.#ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl#Ostapenko the opposite of what she did vs Venus. Virtually flawless...

GSM Ostapenko, 6-3 6-1...#ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl#Ok, she could play relaxed as there was nothing to lose anymore; but the way she plays when she is in that mood, is scary for the other players. Simply unplayable.#ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl#I can only imagine how she will be once she has won a few more (big) titles: way more relaxed than in her first matches here at the YEC. If she gets into slam finals with the knowledge that she has done it all before a few times (so no reason to be stressed), she will be deadly. #ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl#I expect a lot of players to win multiple slams, but this girl has the potential to reach the numbers that Henin, Venus, Seles have (not going so far to predict double digits... yet....).

Pffff, I fear a bad outcome in this group, with the two best players out (Ostapenko and Venus).

Venus won set 1 7-5, but now a break down (1-2)
Actually got broken in the first game, but did hit back with a rebreak (even 40-15 down in that game)....

My fear is that another marathon match (after the Ostapenko 3-setter) will be too much for Venus. She needs to win this in two sets!

It would be sad that Venus K.O.'ed Ostapenko by beating her, but that Ostapenko K.O.'ed Venus by keeping her so long on the court...

Six break in eight games.... 4-4
It feels as if the first one who can hold serve, will win the set.

If Venus holds here, she needs to invest all she has to break Muguruza once more!
