Barty is not a one day wonder.
The girl has a well organized game. From Offense to Defense to setting up a point, there is no moving part. She's got very high tennis IQ. She'll be a top player for a long time, if she can keep the weight under control.

Ostapenko is not. lol lol.
otherwise, she'd be losing in R1, R2 everywhere since the French Open.

Playing the No.1 player in an empty stadium all the way in China made it easy for her to go for broke, and she did, aided and abetted by Garbine's injury. Jelena is ok as a player. And just looking at her, I feel she's one emotional episode away from an eating binge and gaining 50 lbs.

This tennis fan disagrees!

These types of unacceptable losses are exactly the reason as to why I just cannot seem to enjoy watching women's tennis matches these day's because Ostapenko clearly should've wiped up with Barty's bottom backside all over the tennis court. However, It's become ever so apparent that the better player doesn't always win whenever they're playing.

There will always be young players maturing, while the older ones are taking long exits.
It's part of the process. People forget that once, the Williams and the Azarenkas were young and fearless.
