Aiava needs to play more matches like this. Win or lose, that's how you get in match mode.
Can't sit around 3 months at a time just practicing. You are no Serena.. It's not even easy for her to do that.

Naomi up 5-3 on serve, after Destanee held. Should finish for victory...

Broady got huge serve.. you just have to make her move once you block the serve and she is out. She can't play off the ground
You don't try to hit winners off her serve.. Too big.
Got to play smart rally against her, not big shots for winners.

Naomi wins in the decider, but the game went to deuce with Destanee having numerous chances to break but hit 2nd serves long and on match point blew a sitter inside the service line, where after such she threw her racquet in disgust. 13 aces by Naomi, but she was choking on serve to finish with her lst serve not nearly as effective as it was in previous games. Yet, she prevails in the end, but on a Destanee error. Nice match and highly competitive.

Yet, "if" Destanee had recent match play instead of playing only 3 matches since Wimby maybe the outcome would've been different. Nevertheless, it's the reality....

Yes, Naomi has a big serve, Ivo-like, and, agreed, that one cannot return her lst serve. But, one can attack her 2nd serve, which Destanee did, the reason for the close score in the lst (6-4) and Destanee winning the 2nd. Naomi's achilles heel is indeed movement, making her hit on the run and an opponent with an attack game (Destanne has one) can attack and decisively hit clean winners, which Destanee was doing throughout the match. The tourney tho' doesn't give winners and ufes stats for this 250k. But, Destanee was dictating on serve after the break at 1-all in the lst and throughout the 2nd set and the 3rd. She had to dig deep from numerous 15-40 deficits on serve to capture her service game, which is the reason why she saved 16 break points. The lack of match play for Destanee was evident for her forehand was loopy, but she still executed deftly on serve after she served effectively, the serve returned meekly by Naomi, then Destanee put away the sitter.

Failure to execute makeable balls on key points cost Destanee in the 3rd and on game point. It happens, but a good match overall....

yeah.. too much rust.
Wozniacki or Svitolina will not gift you sitters.. They are not going to hit it. Just push it nicely in play.
Got to control the big shots.
Sometimes it's funny how they hit an easy shot so hard it flies off the court or goes straight in the net. Errani will never give away such point... there are times to push, save energy and rest you arm. :)

Yes... a good day for Belgian tennis; we also defeated Australia in the SF of the Davis Cup and will play the final against France... for once, I will have to root against Pouille...
