Didn't have a lot of power, but was a crafty player using what skills she had to flummox a lot of the big hitters into embarrassing dismissals. Didn't win a Slam but reached a final and semis of a couple. Captured a YEC to her credit and overall has 20 career titles. Nice career and will be missed by many. She was gone all year, rapidly falling outside the top-100. And with her game style, there is no way to get back in the top-10.
Good decision. Wish her lots of fun in the non-tennis world.

I will miss her when she played at her best, but yes, this past year was a signal that it is time to go. I'm glad that she isn't doing the Schiavone route.
