It may sound odd, but I sometimes wish competitively speaking Venus had
no game. It would be easier than to see that she still has it but, continually
allows everything to slip. I know even in her heyday consistency could be
a battle, but now, wow. So many opportunities and chances, she sets up
for herself but can never seem to follow through to completion. This is not
to take anything away from her opponents. I only hope she can find some
good form and really be seen as a legitimate title threat(any title) again.

I wish she maybe had switched coaches 5 years ago and got that new fresh perspective.
Oh well, just hoping for the best.

Venus...words. Look how easily she beat Vika who is now a title contender.

Kim always had strong legs. It's the midsection that's the problem now and it showed last night in her opening round match as she was unable to get to a lot of balls. Still strikes the ball beautifully but the movement is hampered. By the way Alexandrova has quite a nice looking game. Serve has a lot of pop and the groundies are sharp too.

Losing the 3rd set was mental, I think. She just didn't get over not taking her chances to win in straights.
