CoronavirusAnother important fact: yesterday was the first day that more people left the hospital than there were new cases. So that eases the pressure on our healthcare system. We still have 50% capacity that is free. It looks as if the healthcare system will be able to manage (we see no italian situations). Stay safe, nice to hear from you and the updates are encouraging. Re: CoronavirusGreetings from California (SoCal). Virtually no traffic woo hoo. I work in a Hospital Pharmacy and we're having to use one mask, one hair cover and a pair of shoe covers per day. Got Covid-19 patients and more pending cases waiting for results. Just ... have to weather the storm. Stay safe everybody! Stay home! Re: CoronavirusNice hearing from you. Re: CoronavirusDoesn't sound good, Grosse But, Grav is showing fantastic results. NY's cases are going down too, but the deaths are increasing. The longer you stay on ventilators, the more it damages your lungs (average patients usually stay on for 3-5 days; Covid19 patients stay on for 21-25 days, and most likely will never survive off them. Really sad!! Positive results for the antibody serum (they'll flush your blood with it to build immunity and add oxygen) and it's successful so far. Best wishes, Tennis Fam!! Re: CoronavirusNJ total cases as of yesterday (population 9M): 44,416 positives with 1,232 deaths Re: CoronavirusWell, the results are not 100% fantastic, but the numbers keep on going in the right direction, indicating that we have it more or less under control. Every day (inclunding today), the number of people leaving the hospital is larger than the number of new patients. So more and more beds are free. And over the last 24h, only 9 people had to go to ICU. So one would expect that #deaths at ICU will start to drop too Nevertheless, the death toll still goes up: the daily numbers remain high (or even increase). But most are not in hospitals but in care homes etc.... There are a lot of countries than only count those who die in hospital, so there are a lot of 'hidden' deaths. For example, in Belgium the government reported 283 deaths over the last 24h, but 'only' 116 were confirmed cases in a hospital. A week ago, the hospital number was much higher, but the total was lower because non-hospitalised # of deaths were not always properly included. It seems that 30-40% of all deaths are related to infections in care homes for the elderly. They now became the main area of concern. There have been care homes where more than 10% of inhabitants already died. Ventilator isn't needed yet OMG!! Re: Coronavirus
Exactly, Grav!! If you die from complications (heart problems, lung or respiratory problems, Lupus, etc.) they don't count them. But, how can that be when they already know people with preconditions are the ones most vulnerable to this Covid-19?? USA does it too, with Trump trumpeting it with false & dangerous BS cures!! I can "feel" a global conspiracy = **DANGER** Dumbass Trump is on now with his ShitShow and the first thing I heard (when unmuted) was OIL!!!! NO JOKE!! MSNBC's Ari cut him off ... Re: CoronavirusThis virus is getting close to me … I told ya'll months ago that I was feeling danger!! Oh Lord |
