I was not too active this week - blame it on the weather....
Interesting weather fact (for global warming deniers).
From 1850 until 1990, there was on average a heat wave every 4 years in Belgium.... so two per decennium.
Then it started to go up to once every two years.
And now:
2015: 1 heatwave
2016: 1 heatwave
2017: 1 heatwave
2018: 2 heatwaves
2019: 3 heatwaves (and the max temperature ever in Belgium over 40°C)
2020: officially since today a first heatwave (we missed one in june by one day that is was a bit too cool).
This one is also quite a bad one, in the sense that we now have a 3rd day in a row > 95°F (or 35°C), and it won't end there: monday, Tuesday, wednesday are going to be >97°F... And at the moment the heatwave is expected to last for another week after that.
Grav,
We are in our fourth heatwave this Summer, save a hurricane / tropical storm last week
Add Covid19 quarantine since March and ... DJ is not a happy camper
Hurry up Autumn!!
