Wimbledon reforms 5th set TB#ed_op#div#ed_cl#JUst read on a british news site that the Wimbledon organisation has made an end to endless 5th sets... for mnext year onwards, the 5th set will have a TB when it goes to 12-12...#ed_op#/div#ed_cl##ed_op#div#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#/div#ed_cl##ed_op#div#ed_cl#A positive change to the slam -format... a TB at 6-6 is still my preferred option, but it is a start. #ed_op#/div#ed_cl##ed_op#div#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#/div#ed_cl##ed_op#div#ed_cl#Now it is up to AO and Roland Garros to follow.#ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#/div#ed_cl# Last edited by Graveller on Oct Fri 19, 2018 7:45 am, edited 1 time in total. "Never argue with an idiot - they take you down to their level and then beat you on experience" "Don't wrestle with a pig: you both get dirty, but the pig actually likes it" That's a smart decision. Wish men would play 3-set. I can't imagine sitting there watching a 5-hour tennis match. Last edited by Ace2Ace on Oct Fri 19, 2018 8:57 am, edited 2 times in total.
Re:Wimbledon reforms 5th set TBIt's about damn time. The best Wimbledon news ever for both the fans and the players. Why should one set last longer than an entire match? And particularly if the match is just a bunch of aces and nothing more? A total snoozefest for the fans and completely unfair to the players as they are completely spent from such a grueling match. |
