Luxembourg Main Draw
Every match will last longer than it takes to walk every inch of Luxembourg at a leisurely pace. lol
Re: Luxembourg Main DrawI find Coco's big wind up on her forehand annoying. I think it's exploitable. Whereas, I can't find any fault with McNally. Will dig, of course. They're playing doubles today as well and sure they'll gang up on Ostapenko by exchanging notes on her from Linz. Re: Luxembourg Main DrawGauff loses - not unexpected as her amazing win last week must have drained her mentally. Hard to get back to business so rapidly for such a young person. Maybe an opportunity for Ostapenko or Rybakina? The latter already in the QF after a routine 6-2 6-1 vs Allertova. Rybakina recording more and more easy wins vs players outside the Top20. With a win over here, she would end the year inside the top30... If it hadn't been for Andreescu, Rybakina would have been a contender for breaktrough of the year. "Never argue with an idiot - they take you down to their level and then beat you on experience" "Don't wrestle with a pig: you both get dirty, but the pig actually likes it" Re: Luxembourg Main DrawLottner wins by retirement, Andrea P's left knee gave out, which was significantly wrapped. Antonia faces Jello next. Will be up to watch regardless of time. Re: Luxembourg Main DrawGauff defeats Blinkova in Doubles. The kid should be resting. Go home!!!
Re: Luxembourg Main DrawBuoyed by vengeance and spite. Love it!!!! Re: Luxembourg Main DrawRybakina unstoppable for the moment: serves Siegemund a bagel within 20 minutes... Hope that she keeps it up in this match... "Never argue with an idiot - they take you down to their level and then beat you on experience" "Don't wrestle with a pig: you both get dirty, but the pig actually likes it" Re: Luxembourg Main DrawSecond set a bit less straightforward, but Rybakina broke when it mattered (when leading 5-4). So a clear 6-0 6-4 win... There was a time when Zhuhai was meant to promote upcoming talents. Rybakina fits that description perfectly: 20y old, 2018-YE ranking was 182, now well into the top40 (and if she wins here in Luxemburg into the top30), played two WTA finals, winning one (maybe a second one here). And she did all of that without playing a slam, a Prem.Mand and only one P5 (Wuhan - got to the QF)... Yet she cannot play Zhuhai. So what is the point of that event? And then I I see that Kerber, Keys, Mertens,.. are eligible. It should be for young players only (like -23y old) "Never argue with an idiot - they take you down to their level and then beat you on experience" "Don't wrestle with a pig: you both get dirty, but the pig actually likes it"
Re: Luxembourg Main DrawGlad McNally will leave Luxembourg with a trophy: winner or runner-up. Well done, girls !!!!!! |
